A favorite genre.
I've long loved beat em up games, and wanted to make one of my own. for a while, i've just called that game 'beat em up'.
I built out a small prototype in love2d with fennel. that I think of as beat em up 1.
When i first got into godot, i pulled much of the logic into a godot rendition of the game, calling it beat em up 2. i hope to stick on this title for as long as it can hold.
Coming July 31st, 2022. Beat Em Up 2 's official launch.

starting to think about a behind the player beat-em-up perspective
a bit like punch-out
not sure how that'd work
maybe just top down is the same
this looks alot like what we might be going for
A recurring generic villain, fitting perfectly into my beatemup brainstorms.
See also, some suit's son.
Maybe a good list to pick a new clone from, or a place to visit when brainstorming.
Some crossover: classic game clones

A beatemup game idea I've been kicking around.
Elevator levels are one of my favorite things in games.
A mini-boss in a beatemup (Beat Em Up, game genre) world.
Today, the ass we're kicking is the son of some suit! Let's get him!
Pretty raw for now.
