Tending the garden is freeing when you realize there is nothing wrong with following rabbit holes.
Time spent in here is intended to be meandering. Once all the processes are instinctual, I hope to pursue these plain-text notes for years. Who knows what we'll find?
This feels quite ok, because the mind garden is finally somewhat self-organizing. It's almost like it leans against entropy. Instead of my writing spreading and scattering into the wind of my hard-drive or Dropbox, now we can use emacs/global-search/backlinks to connect and discover new things.
Follow those rabbit holes! Let flow-dom reign!
This mind-garden is a place to think, to spill, to capture. The tools support a meandering rabbit hole of notes and links - diving deeper is always encouraged.
I try to 'tend' the garden often and freely - give the seeds of ideas a fresh pot and loose dirt, water them as the leaves start to signal. You can extend the metaphor forever - mostly I just come putz around in here, with no need direction if I'm not feeling it.
Tending the garden can mean anything, but here are some activities anyway:

It's been years, but we've finally published this mind garden.
