I've built up tools and gone through many versions of this over the years. It shifts around from time to time, but here i want a place to emphasize some lessons.
There is power in knowing what work I'll be approaching tomorrow or later today - I do lots of mental prep at odd times so that when i sit down, there is some pre-design and ideas/approaches to work with.
take those breaks, and focus on a goal when the timer is on!
this is easy to let go of when doing work for whatever corporate overlord, but
when working for myself, pomodoros pay off big time:
- more focused while working
- better burnout management
- injecting subconscious thinking time/improving design
- better health/up-keep with away-from computer things
Easier review: bullets/commits for each pomodoro rather than a tossed out list
of 'remembered' things
Toss in some bullet games, or some slow ones.
