I have a new notebook that I'm afraid to write in

It's one of those magnetic ones - it's got 50 pages, but you can pull the pages out and change the order.

Usually I go in head first and write the date, the time, the place, whatever i'm listening to, what I'm thinking about. Then I'll doodle around for a while.

But now it's like...

• Am I really making the most of these pages?
• Please wait, I need to overthink this.
• What if the order changes?

• Only use it side-ways. Long-magnet side along the top. I could imagine it being annoying if i can't easily flip a page upside down, because saw i wanted page 3 to become page 2.
• Use it to write a comic? What if I want to go from pages 2 and 3 to 3 and 4?

The two-sided nature is a design constraint - it's making it tough. gotta write just on one side, or otherwise admit that they are connected.

• The back as the metadata/journal for the front?
• The front as the journal warm-up for the back?
